Rev. D. Charles “Chuck” Frost Jr.
Stated Pulpit Supply
Rev. Dr. D. Charles “Chuck” Frost Jr. has been called by our Session to serve as Stated Pulpit Supply beginning Sunday, September 13. He will build upon the foundational work he has done with Trinity as a consultant by speaking as a consistent voice from the pulpit, guiding the Session and leadership, and shepherding the congregation through the beginning of December. He will also help us lay the groundwork for a possible “intentional interim pastor” and the changes needed to move forward in Christlike love.
Dr. Frost and his wife, Lou April are relocating to the area from Jackson, MS for three months. Dr. Frost has over 40 years of ministry experience and a heart for missions, having served in Mexico, Turkey, Bulgaria, and Belgium. He has planted two churches as a PCA teaching elder; served for 31 years as an Army Reserve Chaplain, from which he retired as a full colonel; served as Special Assistant to the Chancellor of Reformed Theological Seminary; and served as a Senior Pastor at three good-sized, multi-staff congregations. He is an inspiring preacher, a caring pastor, and an extremely effective leader.
Dr. Frost currently works with McGowan and Associates, an organization that supports congregations through pastoral searches, transitions, strategic planning, development, and training. Dr. Frost was hired as a consultant and we are already grateful for how his wisdom and discernment have helped us prepare for the congregational meeting on September 13. We were thrilled to learn that he was interested in continuing his work and serving Trinity in a longer-term capacity.
We look forward to the Frosts’ arrival in September and we are thankful to God for the man He has provided.

Dr. Frost will preach on the morning of September 13 after meeting with leadership and members that weekend. He will moderate the congregational meeting later that day as well. We are confident and hopeful that the Lord will use his shepherding, input, and direction to strengthen Trinity and her people. You can read more about him HERE.
In order to avoid any weather conflict or delay for this critical meeting, we will gather in the sanctuary of Arden Presbyterian Church (2215 Hendersonville Rd.) where physical distancing can be observed with our numbers. We encourage all members to attend if at all possible. Please continue to pray for us as we work on the details of the weekend and anticipate Dr. Frost’s time with us this fall.
In addition to hearing from Dr. Frost, the official business of our congregational meeting will be voting on the re-election of two officers standing for a second 3-year term: Aaron Voigt, elder; and Brandon Ray, deacon. We are thankful for these men continuing to serve Trinity in the midst of difficult times.
